Light: Hypoestes requires moderate light. Keep it away from direct sunlight. A few hours of bright filtered light will bring out strong colours. Correct lighting will help the plant maintain its contrasting spots.

Temperature: Hypoestes tolerates house temperatures very well. It is also hardy in zones 9 through 11.

Water: Keep the soil moist. Do not let it dry out between waterings.

Continuing Care : If you pinch out the new growth, you will encourage the plant to be more compact and full. If planting outside, keep plants spaced apart 30 to 60 inches because it is a vigourous spreader.
